Wheels in Motion Car Show

On the 10th anniversary of 9- 11, our club joined the remembrance with attending the Wheels in Motion Day at Westport Plaza. Each entry was given a small American Flag to put on each vehicle and our club displayed a large flag on our tent. This event raises funds for the National Children's Cancer Society. Besides the entry fees donated by our members, we donated $100 from our treasury. This event is not really a show but a car display with no winners or losers except for the kids who benefit from the event profits. As we always do, our group headed to a local pub for an outdoor lunch. With a year that has been so brutally hot, our members basked in the 70 degree day blessed with cool breezes.
Board member Mark Carey along with club member Bob Layton is shown presenting a club check to Elliott, a representative of the Wheels in Motion group.
Our outdoor lunch was a trip to Pujols 5.
