On December 17th, members of our club gathered at the South County K-Mart to purchase toys for our annual toy drive.
Between our generous members, 4 months of the clubs half of the 50-50, a donation from our treasury, a donation from the St. Peters Lions Club, and donated toys, we were able to give the Marines Corp Reserves $1,453.38 worth of toys. We were helped by an employee discount of 10% and a generous donation of $100 from K-Mart.
This year, the toys were picked up by the Marines at the store. It was truly a good feeling way to go into the holiday season. Thanks go out to all who helped and to our chairpersons, Cindy Ahrens and Jim Biermann.
