1939 Ford ½ T P/U Truck.
I have lost all interest in restoring. I bought as basket case in the 1970’s
but been stored in dry since the 50’s. Completely disassembled. Had total frame
sand blasted and I primed. I gave frame two coats of jet black enamel with hand
sanding between coats. Rebuilt flathead V8 engine to 30 thousands over, rebuilt
transmission, rebuilt rear end, new u-joints, restored 5 rims painted red with
5 new Ford Script tires and new tubes. All sheet metal treated (dipped) at
Ready Strip in the 80’s, rimed in green marine primer, about ready to paint (no
dents to work out - light sanding). Bed has new varnished solid oak wood
installed, new corner stake posts, new metal floor skin. All the above bed
metal parts NOT welded to my satisfaction. Two new solid oak risers – on top of
frame and under cab/bed, will need new wiring, glass, seat covering to be
functional. Drove around yard in the
90’s as all running gear completely restored. Hasn’t been started for several
years but high and dry. Asking $6,000 due to all the unique work that has been
done but will consider all offers. FYI: Retired from Ford’s Kentucky Truck
plant and would like to see a Ford enthusiast own this truck. Also have a
complete solid original un-restored 1959 Edsel Ranger 2 door sedan model # 64C,
which has been stored since the 70’s as well. MAKE OFFER
