On January 16th, our club held it’s annual Awards Banquet at the Oakland Park/Airport Holiday Inn. That night, the room was overflowing with close to 90 members, families and friends in attendance. The event is held to award members who did so much to make the year go so well. The awards are based on the points earned by attending meetings, club car shows and cruises, selling show sponsorships and so on. After a fine banquet, our master of ceremonies gave our year in review, the awards were dispensed and attendance prizes were given to all who were present. What a great way to start our year!
A. The 2009 board of directors was introduced and thanked for their year of service. They included Eric Hohl, Bob Layton, Cindy Ahrens, Jack Greiwe and Syl Biermann. B. The 2010 board was introduced that included Bill Giese, Eric Hohl, Mark Carey, Cindy Ahrens and Syl Biermann. C. The buffet was outstanding as usual and going back for seconds was the way to go that night. |
