UNLIMITED CAR CLUB August 2005 On July 9th, our club
along with the Show-Me Mustang Club held our 8th annual Blue Cruise, a
cruise open to Ford Motor Company vehicles
only. Bob Chandler was kind enough to let us use the BigFoot facility again
this year for this charity event that benefits the Children’s Miracle
Network.
The turnout was slightly larger than last year with 93 outstanding Blue
Oval products in attendance. With donations at the gate and $119 from the
50-50 drawing, we were able to collect $644.50. Each club also donated an
additional $250 per club for a total contribution of $1,144.50. The two
clubs also had donated an additional $150 per club to cover the cost of the
DJ and the flyer printing.
With the success of the event, plans are underway to another cruise for
2006. The event
always draws a wide variety of Ford products. The BigFoot
truck made a great backdrop for club member Jack Anderson’s new red Ford
GT. We were
able to get our first glimpse of Mike McDougal’s blue Pantera. Mike says
that it’s not perfect but it looked great to us. We hope to do a feature on
this car later in the year. Although a low work event, members of each
club took turns collecting donations at the BigFoot entrance. Most of the
participants were generous with their contributions.
